Research Analyst
If you love the cross-section of analytics and creativity, then this is the role for you. You’ll lead the efforts on consumer research, data collection and insights analysis – conducting all primary research surveys from beginning to end. In this work, you’ll synthesize complex data input into a compelling story and translate data into actionable insights. All ad hoc quantitative and qualitative studies will help inform/optimize our marketing strategies, so we’re looking for someone with a fresh and innovative approach, ideas, and excitement to dive right in. You’ll be embedded in our team of data engineers with a close partnership to our marketing teams.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct extensive primary market research (digital surveys), qualitative and statistical research studies, or consumer research to capture opinions, sentiments, demographic differences, and market trends.
- Clearly capture and summarize all key and supporting evidence-based insights to help inform strategies and business decisions
- Utilize statistics to identify significance, noise, and correlations in data.
- Lead and participate in brainstorms to conceptualize unique content topics.
- Partner and collaborate with stakeholders from business, analytics, UX, content, to the agent salesforce to help determine topically relevant ideas and data needed for various editorials
- Frequently review competitor research and/or data insights strategy, analyzing any impact it had with engagement or interest.
- Share and apply learnings.
- Create and execute a survey calendar that takes into business and marketing objective; maintain a strategy document to ensure research strategies align with consumer purchase cycles (discovery, consideration, buy).
Skills & Experience:
- 2+ years of experience of relevant experience in consumer/market research and analyses in either a client or vendor role. Including experience and comfortability analyzing large data sets, splicing or cross-tabulating to view insights in various ways.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Well-versed in survey methodologies and techniques; Proficient at integrating quantitative and qualitative findings into key insights. Clearly understands the big picture, and able to communicate data to non-researcher audiences.
- Self-directed, self-motivated, and comfortable establishing a new process.
- Excels in a fast-paced dynamic environment, balancing and prioritizing multiple projects under tight deadlines. Learns quickly and adapts to changing priorities and business needs.
- Intellectually curious about the healthcare, health insurance, medicare industry.
- Experience with analytical tools such as Excel and survey programming tools such as Qualtrics
- Experience in SQL, Tableau, and/or Python, or a strong desire to learn.
- You’re meticulous, enjoy data analysis, and have a natural curiosity and eagerness to interpret data; You have a strong attention to detail; Strong communication and written skills; You’re a creative thinker and self-starter; both an independent worker and collaborative team player.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to learn from other perspectives and accepts differing ideas with an open-mind.
