As an Alternate Shift Control Room Analyst, you are responsible for ensuring automated cranes and conveyors that transport material from location to Goods to Person stations are operational.
Job duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • This position is responsible for monitoring automated cranes and conveyors to ensure continuous operations when parts bundles are assigned to Goods to Person stations within the warehouse. The incumbent uses a computer to monitor the crane and conveyor systems.
  • Understands system alarms and can determine when automated cranes and conveyors are not operational.
  • Works with Operations Maintenance to ensure any malfunctioning cranes or conveyors are repaired and in working order. Ensures accuracy of data associated with parts in retrievals or totes while on the conveyor system. Appends records when a container fails check station at input to Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS). Restarts segments of conveyors due to jams.
  • Typical internal customers include the position's work group and immediate supervisor. The positions primary customers are internal. The position is challenged to quickly and correctly identify problems. The incumbent generally resolves issues by following departmental guidelines or applying a solution that worked in the past.


Additional Information

  • This is an alternate 1st shift role: Fri, Sat, Sun, & Mon 6am-4pm
  • Limited travel required (Less than 5% of working time).


Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in logistics
  • Understanding of logistics operations procedures
  • Must have basic computer skills


BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

  • Morton Operations knowledge desired.
  • Good communication skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Automated Warehouse Control System (AWCS) experience
