Job Summary

The Data Analyst will work within the Development team to ensure the deployment and success of Aquilon’s proprietary ESNTM platform. This individual will be responsible for ensuring optimal functioning of our data aggregation software through the full data integration process with our customers as well as constantly monitoring all exchange feeds. We are looking for someone who has a strong attention to detail, who is curious, and understands the business implications behind data.

Essential Functions and Duties

The following duties and responsibilities reflect the essential functions for this position but do not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time based on business needs. To be successful the Data Analyst must:

  • Maintain Aquilon’s data quality standards by ensuring that information is complete - including researching and analyzing client data, mining data, conducting trend analysis, and reviewing variance reports to identify suspicious information.
  • Ensure all data is collected and validated using SQL
  • Continuously evaluate procedures, create and enhance analytical tools, and implement process improvement projects.
  • Act as an expert regarding investment data points and calculations, answering data questions for colleagues and clients, and assisting with standardizing industry data.
  • Monitor and create statistics to provide client and team with detailed cycle times and assist with driving improvement where required.

Required Skills/Qualifcations

  • 2+ years of relevant work or internship experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field preferred.
  • Intermediate experience with SQL query writing
  • Strong analytical experience and understanding technology processes of information and data.
  • Proven success meeting tight deadlines in a fast- paced environment.
  • Communicate in a clear and concise manner verbally, nonverbally, and in writing.
  • Strong experience with Excel or similar spreadsheet

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
  • SSIS experience
  • ETL experience
  • Exceptional personality for working with co-workers.
  • Experience in the energy industry.

Our Lisle office is easily accessible from I88 and is walking distance from the train station. We're close to many restaurants and have ample parking.
