The Data Architect is a highly visible role that will work directly with leaders across the organization to develop our company’s data strategy, lead data governance and oversight of the company’s data, define data strategies and policies and lead data initiatives.  This individual will manage Item, BOM, and Customer data relationships throughout the global enterprise landscape, including the analysis of requirements for new data, the development of standards to optimally manage data sources and database schemas, and the definition of the enterprise metadata strategy.  

Duties:

• Advocate the value of data governance across the enterprise
• Ensure that company data is appropriately structured and managed across the organization to optimize data reporting and insights
• Establish the data governance strategy and vision for implementation across the enterprise
• Lead execution of the data strategy to achieve enterprise goals and objectives
• Establish data stewardship and data ownership program
• Partner with business owners of data across the enterprise to understand and meet their data needs
• Create entity-relationship diagrams for relational systems and dimensional diagrams for the data warehouse, data marts and data cubes, whilst ensuring alignment to leading practices
• Establish and lead data governance and oversight of the company’s data, defining data policies and leading data initiatives 
• Lead integration of data from multiple sources to be used for analytics models
• Partner with data scientists and business intelligence leads to ingest new transformed variables into target entities – oversee data extraction, cleansing, integration, transformation, and related reporting
• Review technology design documents to understand where data model structures can address requirements

Job Knowledge/Experience:

• 8+ years of experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, or Data Management
• 5+ years of experience with Oracle EBS, specifically Oracle Configurator Developer & Oracle Customer Master
• Significant experience in data modeling, data analysis, master data management principles and processes, data integration
• Advanced knowledge of BI / Analytics capabilities, techniques and best practices
• Deep understanding of data stewardship processes, methods, and tools
• Experience in implementing cloud data solutions
• Traditional relational DB technology along with non-traditional solutions (ie Hadoop)
• Current with IT systems best practices, IT technology trends and can correlate potential impacts that technology may have on the customer(s)
• Data privacy and security best practices
• Project Management experience

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or a related discipline. MS/MBA desirable.
