CityBase is a government technology company that transforms the way cities connect and do business with constituents. CityBase works with local governments, agencies, and utilities to integrate payment functionality, business processes, and communications onto a central, cloud-based platform that consumers can access through the web, mobile, kiosk, or point-of-sale.

Overview: We are looking for a Data Automation Engineer, on our Data Science team, to help develop and manage automation surrounding our data science services.

Responsibilities: 

• Create and maintain Docker images and Helm charts for services in Kubernetes
• Set up and manage high-performance, distributed computational services and tasks running in K8s (i.e. Dask)
• Help develop low-level real-time data integrations (e.g. Postgres logical replication in the context of AWS).
• Develop services and endpoints that expose machine learning logic. 
• Develop infrastructure for dashboards and reporting using Jupyter ecosystem.
• Occasionally perform database migrations (e.g. Oracle to PostgreSQL).
• Write ETL processes in task automation platforms (e.g. Airflow, Luigi, etc.)

Requirements:

• 3-5+ years of programming experience using Python (or other languages like Clojure, Haskell, etc). 
• Must have advanced knowledge of working with Linux/Unix command lines. 
• Must have experience working with Git 
• Experience working in a cloud environment, preferably AWS.
