Amount is looking for Senior Data Engineers to help us build a robust and scalable data platform to support ETL, reporting, and data analysis as our business scales. We use cutting-edge technologies like Spark, NiFi, and Presto to deliver high-quality data to analysts, data scientists, and partners. You'll gain experience in Big Data technologies such as Apache Spark in a Cloud-first environment and strengthen your Python development skills. We’re looking for an engineer that takes ownership in their work, has a strong focus on quality, and enjoys working in a collaborative environment.

What you'll do:

• Gain experience in Big Data technologies such as Apache Spark in a Cloud-first environment
• Build data ingestion pipelines for various data sources including Postgres, SQLServer, and REST APIs
• Participate in design and architecture planning for our infrastructure and code
• Develop features to support dynamic ETL, automated data quality validation, and data delivery
• Automate operational data tasks
• Perform periodic on-call duties

Who you are:

• You have a bachelors in Computer Science or a related degree or equivalent experience
• You have 5+ years of development experience in Python, Java, or Scala
• You have 3+ years of experience developing with Hadoop, Spark, and/or Hive
• You have experience performance tuning Apache Spark Jobs
• You have experience with technologies like Presto, NiFi, and Luigi preferred
• AWS experience preferred
• Data modeling experience preferred
