This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Advanced knowledge of architecture and design across all systems
  • Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages
  • Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
  • Keen understanding of financial control and budget management
  • Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
  • Passionate about building an innovative culture

 

Core Job Responsibilities

  • Design and build high-performing and resilient data architectures that can be deployed and maintained with automated tooling
  • Design and develop cloud native API’s, data pipelines and data stores
  • Design and implement DataOps strategy and operating model for synthetic data generation and test data management
  • Execution of data management activities – data mapping, data lineage, data tracing, maintenance of data quality rules and controls, maintenance of a metadata repository
  • Understand end to end data interactions and dependencies across data pipelines and data transformation and how they impact business decisions and propose efficiencies
  • Work closely with Engineering leads and PO's to deliver data products in a collaborative and agile environment

 Experience

  • 3+ years of working in Cloud environments (AWS is preferred) leveraging various application development and deployment technologies
  • 5+ years of experience with Java and python
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and a head for problem solving
  • Experience with stream processing platforms such as Kafka or Dataflow
  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with microservices stack based on AWS Lambdas, Spring Boot, NodeJS
  • Experience using big data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, HBase, Spark etc.)
  • Familiarity with AWS ecosystem including S3, Glue, Kinesis, SQS
