Designs, develops, implements and sustains of a long-term enterprise data risk oversight program incorporating industry frameworks, templates and expert organizations. Accountable for the design, development and implementation of the oversight program for data quality, data stewardship, metadata management, and sensitive data management. Builds productive working relationships with the data governance and stewardship organizations within the company providing tools, capabilities and frameworks to evolve the maturity of those groups.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, implement and sustain a long-term enterprise data risk oversight program incorporating industry frameworks, templates and expert organizations.
- Be accountable for the design, development and implementation of the oversight program for data quality, data stewardship, metadata management and sensitive data management processes.
- Review processes and technology to support those processes to ensure risks are appropriately identified and evaluate that controls are adequately designed
- Build productive working relationships with the company’s data governance and stewardship groups.
How You’ll Do It
- Build productive working relationships with the data governance and data management groups within the company — providing tools, capabilities and frameworks to evolve the maturity of those groups.
- Partner with external vendors and industry experts to evolve the data management and governance program, using industry frameworks, templates and expert organizations.
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of an oversight program for enterprise data management and governance programs.
Qualifications You’ll Need
The Basics
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- 6+ years of experience in IT work experience, metadata management, data quality, or risk management
- In lieu of a degree, 10+ years of experience in IT, metadata management, data quality, or risk management
Bonus Points If You Have
- Master's degree in computer science or related field
- 8+ years of experience in IT, metadata management, data quality, or risk management
- Relevant technology certifications
