Digital Data Scientist
The Digital Data Scientist will provide data-driven thought partnership to drive digital customer servicing innovation using a blend of digital product strategy & data science experience.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
o Generate customer behavior insights to drive next generation digital customer experience innovation including servicing automation using strong hands-on text analytics, data mining and advanced analytical skills to provide insights as well as recommendations to enhance the digital experience, maximize online visitation and completion of self-service methods
o Recommend improvements to online features/functionalities by identify patterns and repetitive journeys or pathing that result in customer struggle online, unnecessary call generation or incompleteness of intended task on all digital channels (Web, Mobile, Chat, Emails, Social Media)
o Create holistic dashboards using visualization tools (Tableau etc) for senior leadership to communicate critical digital metrics & recommendations on customer online behavior
o Collaborate with internal technology partners & external vendors to implement digital initiatives including accurate test design methodology (Multivariate/A/B Testing), data collection and reporting
o Promote a risk-aware culture; ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes
Skills
o BS with strong quantitative coursework (engineering, mathematics, statistics, computer science, etc.) and background in data science and web analytics (Adobe SiteCatalyst, Tealeaf). Advanced degree preferred.
o 3+ years of experience with an enterprise SQL type database software product (i.e. Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server etc.)
o Exposure to A/B and Multivariate testing methodologies
o Experience with Python, SAS, R and UNIX
o Experience in the credit card or financial services institution preferred
o Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office required
o Excellent communication skills, detail-oriented, and possess the ability to interact with all levels of end users and technical resources
o Works effectively both independently and as a member of a cross functional team
