What We'll Bring

The Director of Analytics Engineering will be lead the of delivering analytics and data solutions and services supporting both internal and external customers.by managing an organization comprised of 6+ highly trained and diverse delivery teams working in an agile software environment. Our big data applications and platforms support a diverse community of internal and customer-based data scientists, statisticians, modelers, product developers, and data strategists as well as externalized analytical data platforms. As part of this role you will lead your teams thru a digital transformation and application migration with a focus on service-oriented platforms and cloud-native applications.

As a leader, you will have both the accountability and freedom to grow and evolve the teams that are taking TransUnion to the next level.

What You'll Bring

10+ years of experience managing teams in an agile environment

Energy, enthusiasm and an ability to relate and motivate teams

An entrepreneurial mindset, with an ability to collaborate with delivery teams, architecture and product partners

Experience and understanding of the data science user and ecosystem

Familiarity with containerization and orchestration

Strong understanding of Architectural Patterns and processes

Dedication to automation and system quality

Demonstrated ability to understand full-stack development processes and best practices

Experience managing global and distributed teams

Strong communication skills and even stronger collaboration skills

A focus on security

Ability to focus on details while not losing sight of the big picture

Experience owning, operating, supporting and extending customer facing solutions

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent, advanced degree in technology or management preferred

Impact You'll Make

Hands on strategic and technical leadership to deliver TU application and engineering solutions and develop and grow technical personnel

Work with enterprise and domain architects to define the cloud strategy, while developing and designing proof-of-concepts and providing direction in the ultimate delivery of applications and services

Foster strong business relationships with technical leadership across Global Technology

Support and lead technical conversations

Integrate security and compliance standards for the environments that support millions of worldwide customers.

Lead the implementation of best-in-class software development and dev-ops practices

Support and advocate for the Agile software development process

Communicate with peers to help prioritize projects and communicate delivery status

Manage the operational and capital expenses to the given budget to meet company initiatives

Establish, refine and report on key performance metrics applications and team personnel

You’ll help unify the product vision with the underlying technology in order to drive a common focus and delivery that results in integrated and cohesive solutions.

Work with the broader technical leadership team in order to set technology direction for the analytics engineering domain

Deploy and Implement leading-edge analytics environments including software, end-user tools, and other data services 

Collaborate with product owners and team members on requirements and implementation approaches for addressing demand and challenges
