Job Description
The Director of Cloud and Data Infrastructure is accountable for leading a global team that drives a hybrid compute strategy across multiple clouds and on-premise computing environments in support of business applications. The leader in this role has the opportunity to shape the computing infrastructure of a global enterprise, creating a highly scalable, secure, and cost-effective environment that maintains Motorola Solutions' position as a cutting edge forerunner in the technology industry. Beyond the technology, the Director of Cloud and Data Infrastructure has the opportunity to develop and demonstrate leadership skills to create an effective and high-functioning team that is critical to our company's mission and inspire them to grow and pursue their career dreams. No leader stands alone, and this role also involves close collaboration with peers to deliver on breakthrough ideas across the infrastructure and security organization.
Scope of Responsibilities / Expectations:
Continuously optimize footprint by influencing application owners and Business Relationship Managers to leverage optimal multi-clouds (AWS, OCI and AZURE) and On-Premises environments
Improving security posture, delivering on security policies and practices to ensure the environment and application are adequately protected from internal and external threats
Ensure the stability of the critical environments to meet the business service level agreements and work on initiatives to prevent and predict failures
Increase workflow efficiencies by driving LEAN initiatives and improve the engineering efficiencies using automation and Infrastructure as Code
Innovate around cloud consumption models (Platform as a Service, Container as a Service, Infrastructure as a Service, and Software as a service) that create the highest value for the customers
Foster the Agile DevOps culture to improve customer satisfaction through rapid, continuous delivery
Inspire team members to learn new skills and develop competencies aligned with the Compute team’s vision
Desired Background/Knowledge/Skills:
Strong leadership skills and experience in managing senior managers
Experience with defining and delivering on strategic initiatives
Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, OCI, AZURE)
Experience in vendor and contract management skills
Strong partnership skills - must be able to develop and build relationships at all levels of the organization based on trust, integrity, transparency, and by delivering on commitments
Highly motivated, willing to take calculated risks
Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
Strong technology and business acumen

Basic Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in technology related field
- 10+ years of management experience, with 3+ years of experience managing senior managers
