The Impact You Will Make
The fraud team at Grubhub manages the delicate balance between fraud risk management against customer experience and sales, through the use of advanced systems, data and processes; while engaging closely with various business partners across and outside the organization.
We are looking for an innately-curious, data-driven, self-starting Fraud Strategy Analyst who will take the ownership on finding opportunities to build better fraud prevention and detection controls across various products.
In this role, you will dig into fraud trends, surface value-saving opportunities and implement them through our products and fraud infrastructure.
To succeed in this role, you must be comfortable with ambiguity, data analytics, able to juggle multiple priorities, enjoy logic puzzles, communicate effectively and be adept at driving results.
Some Challenges You'll Tackle:
- Help build and maintain Grubhub's defenses against fraud across various areas via our tools, while optimizing the experience for good users
- Manage through fraud KPIs and business drivers for both existing and new vectors, and drive results at the micro and macro levels
- Analyze ambiguous problems, surface business recommendations, test and implement solutions
- Work cross-functionally, partnering with Finance, Technology, Product, Marketing, Logistics, Care, Restaurant, Legal, PR, Security and other teams to define opportunities, and recommend and implement changes
- Be creative! This is a constantly evolving field, and staying on top of it requires thinking many steps ahead while also having fun
What You Bring to the Table
- Bachelor's and / or Master's degree (OR related work experience) in a quantitative discipline
- 3+ years of experience in a fraud, risk, payments, analytics or statistical role
- Strong data and analytical skills with an ability to dive deep, summarize, and communicate important learnings from data
- Good understanding of fraud vectors, strategies, tools and infrastructure in a high transaction volume digital environment; Accertify experience a plus
- Ability to balance attention to detail while summarizing for executives and business partners
- Experience working cross functionally, engaging with other groups like engineers, product managers, data analysts, operations analysts
- Technical skills : SQL, Python, Decision Engines, Tableau and/or statistical tools (Decision Trees, Regression, etc), Google/Microsoft office suite
