Paylocity Inc. processes payroll for clients in all fifty states down to the local level where applicable. Our clients depend on us to stay up to date on new trends in tax reporting in all jurisdictions. We also strive to influence Government Agencies towards adopting policies that benefit our operations as well as our client's ability to conduct business and grant us authority to act on their behalf.
We are seeking a Government Relations Analyst II (Payroll Tax Compliance Analyst) to join the Government Relations Team. This position reports to the Project Manager in Government Relations and performs research and analysis of regulatory tax filing trends related to filing specifications, deposit frequency, and other compliance-related initiatives.
The Government Relations Team is relied upon by all facets of the organization including sales, new client implementation, client support and finance. Government Relations Team is primarily responsible for monitoring the legislative environment for regulatory updates and maintaining strong relationships with Government Regulatory Agencies.
Position Overview
The Government Relations Analyst II performs tasks under the guidance of the various members of the Government Relations Team. The Government Relations Team is relied upon by all facets of the organization including sales, new client implementation, client support and finance. The Government Relations Analyst is primarily responsible for Analyzing information on the legislative environment for regulatory updates and maintaining strong relationships with Government Regulatory at the direction of the Government Relations team.
Performance Objectives:

  • Research and implement payroll tax compliance legislation
  • Research and analyze various state and local agencies for updates and changes.
  • Represent Paylocity and establish and maintain relationships with state and local agencies.
  • Document requirements for updates and changes for development.
  • Maintain an inventory of upcoming changes that impact our implementations.
  • Document all filing and payment changes for tracking.
  • Communicate and create the necessary requirements for development.
  • Complete comparison of system updates with what is currently implemented.
  • Other related responsibilities and special projects at the discretion of management

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Minimum 3-5 Years Payroll Tax Experience
  • Technical proficiency with interpreting state and local agency specification requirements
  • Excellent organization and documentation skills, with an eye for details.
  • Strong team building, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Good problem-solving and process improvement skills, ability to think outside the box
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, changing environment
  • Strong communication skills and problem-solving ability
  • High level of integrity

This role can be performed from any office in the US. The pay range for this position in Colorado is $45,097 - $55,997/year, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position offers a full range of benefits outlined here. This information is provided per the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Base pay information is based on market location.
