Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for analyzing, designing and validating structured/unstructured data sources, data transformations, data lineage, data quality rules, data models, built on traditional warehouses as well as Big Data systems. Partners with the business and technology teams to develop innovative data solutions to support advanced analytics initiatives such as AI, Machine Learning and traditional analytic platforms.
Major Responsibilities:
Analyzes complex database systems using a variety of Data Quality, Data Profiling and Metadata Management tools to identify Data Anomalies/Data Patterns, Define Data Quality rules, Define Business Definitions and curate Metadata .
Documents data requirements. Illustrates how data domains relate to each other using tools like source-target mappings, process flow diagrams, data flow diagrams, and workflow diagrams.
Partners with Business Data Stewards to identify Critical Data Elements(CDEs), validate Data Profiling results and perform User Acceptance Testing of new Data Quality rules to support design and development of cloud based Analytics Systems.
Uses data quality and data profiling tools to profile complex data sources, define data quality rules, and define data transformation rules for data curation
Participates in User Acceptance Testing (Functional and Performance) to validate curated data established by Business Technology 20% 2 - Very important
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
Bachelors Information Technology, Engineering
Preferred:
Masters Information Technology or Engineering Preferred
Minimum:
Work Experience- 6+ years Data Warehouse/Datamart development using various analytic tools or related
Preferred:
Work experience-6+ years Data Integrations using various tools or related Minimum 4+ years Data Quality/Data Profiling/Metadata Management or related
2+ years Background in Credit Card, Banking, Fraud, Risk, Compliance, Collections, Underwriting or related
Additional preferred experience:
- Experience in AWS/Snowflake or similar cloud based Analytics systems
- Experience with Data Quality/Data Profiling/Metadata Tools
- High proficiency in ANSI SQL, preferably against Teradata and Snowflake Warehouses
- Exposure to Python Programing and Tableau Dashboards development a bonus
In Lieu of Education Experience :
8+ years Data Warehouse/Datamart development using tools like Terradata, SQL Minimum 8+ years Data Integrations using tools like Informatica, Datastage, AbInitio
2+ years Risk/Marketing/Acquisitions modeling, strategy development Preferred Certifications and Licenses Certification or License Details/Other Timeframe
