Lead Data Governance Tech Specialist
Duties:
Lead the technical build of the Data Governance tool including code migrations, deployment, and release management. Build common business glossary and taxonomy including the metadata and lineage in alignment with business capabilities within the Data Governance tool suite. Build and lead the Business Intelligence functionality for the data governance program to include predictive and prescriptive analytics. Lead the metadata management and ingest additional data management assets, including custom data assets, ensuring data lineage and source to target data mapping. Create and deploy Data Quality Rules, perform metadata management, and build data lineage using IBM InfoSphere Information Server Suite. Design data quality dashboards using Cognos. Integrate metadata from multiple on-prem, cloud and Big Data/Hadoop sources into the data governance platform. Collaborate with the data platform team to install the data governance layer with AWS leading the transition to a cloud environment. Lead the continuous build and assessment of data profiling standards and analytics of data based on business need. Develop Data Quality Measurement Processes, and create and deploy business and data quality rules over the critical data elements (CDEs) identified based on the business requirements. Lead the initiative with data owners to fix data issues and develop a remediation plan to prevent future data issues. Design and implement Data Governance and Data Quality Dashboards to enable continuous monitoring and reporting. Write and review data governance policies, controls, procedures and standards. *This position qualifies for The Options Clearing Corporation’s Employee Referral Program.*
Education & Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or information management and five (5) years of experience in data analysis or data governance.
Special Skills Required:
Must have work experience with each of the following: 1. Creating and deploying Data Quality Rules, performing metadata management, and building data lineage using IBM InfoSphere Information Server Suite; 2. Designing data quality dashboards using Cognos; and 3. Integrating metadata from multiple on-prem, cloud and Big Data/Hadoop sources into the data governance platform.
