Job Description
TITLE: Lead Data Science Analyst
DUTIES: Discover Products Inc. seeks Lead Data Science Analyst in Riverwoods, IL to lead the development and implementation of advanced analytics including customer segmentation, optimization, prescriptive analytics and machine learning algorithms, and make recommendations to solve business problems. Operate as a Subject Matter Expert on statistical analysis, test and design of experiments, analysis methodology, modeling and applications, and financial impact analysis. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand their business needs and formulate and complete end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering, analysis, ongoing scaled deliverables and presentations. Deliver effective presentations of findings and recommendations to multiple levels of leadership, creating visual displays of quantitative information. Establish and maintain effective performance tracking, identify improvement opportunities, form hypothesis, and propose, design and implement tests to drive strategy enhancement and optimization. Manage multiple priorities and communicate business performance and project progress to management and business partners. Develop and automate reports and iteratively build and prototype dashboards to provide insights at scale, solving for analytical needs. Facilitate implementation of work product and ensure accuracy. Consistently follow standard work processes and documentation requirements. Recommend improvement to work processes to increase efficiency while maintaining quality of work. Continuously improve technical and leadership skills through training and development. Promote a risk aware culture to ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Economics, or a related field and four (4) years of experience in job offered or related position: participating in Agile software development methodologies; providing subject matter expertise for supportive data and decision management technologies; utilizing technologies including SQL and Unix. In the alternative employer will accept Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in one of the above listed fields and two (2) years of experience in skills listed above.
