TITLE: Lead Data Science Analyst
DUTIES: Discover Products Inc., seeks Lead Data Science Analyst in Riverwoods, IL to work closely with management to execute analytical initiatives. Responsible for solving business problems by leveraging techniques such as segmentation, optimization, advance analytics, and machine learning. Create reports and dashboards to closely monitor performance metrics and provide insight. Lead the development and implementation of advanced analytics and machine learning algorithms and make recommendations to solve business problems. Operate as a subject matter expert on statistical analysis, test and design of experiments, analysis methodology, modeling and applications, and financial impact analysis. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand their business needs and formulate and complete end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering, analysis, ongoing scaled deliverables and presentations. Deliver effective presentations of finding and recommendations to multiple levels of leadership, creating visual displays of quantitative information. Establish and maintain effective performance tracking, identify improvement opportunities, form hypothesis, and proposes design, and implement tests to drive strategy enhancement and optimization. Manage multiple priorities and communicate business performance and project progress to management and business partners . Develop and automate reports and iteratively build and prototype dashboards to provide insight at scale, solving for analytical needs. Facilitate implementation of work product to ensure accuracy. Consistently follow standard work processes and documentation requirements. Recommend improvements to work processes to increase efficiency while maintaining quality of work. Continuously improve technical and leadership skills through training and development. Promote a risk-aware culture to ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Economics, Civil Engineering, Engineering Management, Mathematics, or a related field and four (4) years of experience in job offered or related position: analyzing and mining large quantities of data to find patterns and insights leveraging SAS or open-source analytical stacks, including R, Python, and Spark; developing and implementing quantitative solutions that leverage structured and unstructured data from internal and external sources; implementing quantitative solutions in Hadoop, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Cloud based ecosystems; exploring new tools and techniques, including Machine Learning algorithms, Object Oriented Programming and Data Mining and Visualizations to optimize data; and utilizing machine learning and statistical algorithms to create data-driven solutions for various business applications.
