TITLE: Lead Data Science Analyst
DUTIES: Discover Products Inc. seeks Lead Data Science Analyst in Riverwoods, IL to lead the development and implementation of advanced analytics, including customer segmentation, optimization, prescriptive analytics, and machine learning algorithms and provide recommendations to solve business problems. Operate as a subject matter expert on statistical analysis, testing and design of experiments, analysis methodology, modeling and application, and financial impact analysis. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand their business needs and formulate and complete end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering, transformation, analysis, ongoing scaled deliverables and presentations. Deliver effective presentations of findings and recommendations to multiple levels of leadership, creating visual displays of quantitative information. Establish and maintain effective performance tracking and identify improvement opportunities, form hypothesis, and propose, design, and implement tests to drive strategy enhancement and optimization. Manage multiple priorities and communicate business performance and project progress to management and business partners. Develop and automate reports and iteratively build and prototype dashboards to provide insights at scale, solving for analytical needs. Facilitate implementation of work product and ensure accuracy. Consistently follow standard work processes and documentation requirements. Recommend improvements to work processes to increase efficiency while maintaining quality of work. Continuously improve technical and leadership skills through training and development. Promote a risk-aware culture to ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, or a related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation: utilizing programming languages, including SQL, R, Python, and SAS; utilizing Teradata, Oracle, SAS Tools, UNIX/LINUX, and Big Data environments, including Hadoop, Hive, or Snowflake; performing statistical analysis and conducting financial impact analysis; working with lean principles; and working with decision software, including Decision Trees. In the alternative, employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in the above-listed fields and two (2) years of experience.
