Job Description
TITLE: Lead Data Science Analyst
DUTIES: Discover Products Inc. seeks Lead Data Science Analyst in Chicago, IL to work closely with management to execute analytical initiatives. Solve business problems by leveraging techniques such as segmentation, optimization, advanced analytics, and machine learning. Create reports and dashboards to closely monitor performance metrics and provide insights. Lead the development and implementation of advanced analytics, including customer segmentation, optimization, prescriptive analytics, and machine learning algorithms. Operate as a Subject Matter Expert on statistical analysis, test and design of experiments, analysis methodology, modeling and application, and financial impact analysis. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand their business needs and formulate and complete end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering, analysis, ongoing scaled deliverables and presentations. Deliver effective presentations of findings and recommendations to multiple levels of leadership, creating visual displays of quantitative information. Establish and maintain effective performance tracking. Identify improvement opportunities, form hypotheses, and propose, design, and implement tests to drive strategy enhancement and optimization. Manage multiple priorities, and communicate business performance and project progress to management and business partners. Develop and automate reports, and iteratively build and prototype dashboards to provide insights at scale, solving for analytical needs. Facilitate implementation of work product and ensure accuracy. Consistently follow standard work processes and documentation requirements. Recommend improvement to work processes to increase efficiency while maintaining quality of work. Continuously improve technical and leadership skills through training and development. Promote a risk-aware culture to ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Management Science, Quantitative Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, or related quantitative field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation: developing codes and building statistical forecasting models in a variety of statistical programming languages, including SAS, SQL, and Python; utilizing machine learning models, ARIMA modeling, and Time Series analysis to solve business problems; utilizing data visualization tools such as Tableau to develop and automate reports; proposing and formulating statistical A/B tests using statistical concepts, including hypotheses testing, segmentation, and clustering; and facilitating root cause analysis to identify trends in call volumes for accurate future forecast generation. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in one of the above mentioned fields and two (2) years of experience in the above-listed areas.
