Job Description
As part of the Consumer Banking organization, our Deposits Digital Analytics team provides customer digital insights and recommendations for Deposits business teams and leaders. We work with our business partners to ensure that they can make data-driven decisions in order to improve the digital customer experience and drive potential growth for Discover.
What You’ll Do
Gather, structure, and analyze data and provide recommendations to management.
Support the development of standard data analyses, reports, and dashboards.
We collaborate with teams across Consumer Bank and Card to help drive results through the use of digital analytics and Marketing Technology tools.
We are an active thought partner who challenges the status quo and seeks to improve the digital experience for our customers through the use of analytical research and modeling.
We use data to understand impact and provide recommendations related to digital features and channels.
We partner with the business to understand analytical and tagging requirements and manage the digital tagging process for all new and existing digital features.
We provide proactive, standard, and ad hoc digital data reports to support Deposits.
How You’ll Do It
Present the results of data analyses and recommendations to management and process owners.
Partner with the business to identify appropriate data sources and analysis methodology
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, product owners, product managers, and design teams to define product KPIs and understand product performance post feature launch or redesign.
Proactively identify, research and analyze digital product performance trends and anomalies. Develop and present summaries and recommendations to leadership.
Partner with stakeholders to identify gaps in design through ad hoc and planned thorough digital analysis. Take part in identifying future design enhancements. Track performance of re-design via an iterative process.
Monitor dashboards and reports for abnormalities and irregularities. Proactively dig deeper and combine different sources of data, as needed, to arrive at root causes.
Define, design and develop dashboards and reports using digital data from multiple platforms.
Automate reporting to improve operational efficiency.
Own the data tagging process, from definition of requirements to oversight of implementation and data collection.
Focus on and enhance digital channel optimization through the use of Adobe Target and other MarTech tools.
Demonstrate technical knowledge of analytical tools.
Qualifications You’ll Need
The Basics:
Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, statistics, mathematics, or related field
2+ years of experience in programming with a concentration in data science, or related field
In lieu of education, 4+ years Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or Related and Experience in Programming with concentration in Data Science, or related and 8+ years Programming with concentration in Data Science, or related
Bonus Points If You Have
4+ years of experience in programming with a concentration in data science, or related field
Analytical tools such as SAS, H20, R, Python, SQL(Teradata, Snowflake, etc).
Understanding an/or experience with clickstream/digital data
Microsoft excel experience
Experience with Jira, Rally, Glass box
