As the Manager of Market Data, you’ll be responsible for managing the firm’s global market data program, including gathering business requirements, acquiring new market data, and negotiating related contracts, tracking the firm’s market data inventory and usage, ensuring compliance with exchange policies, and generating all required usage reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the centralized data manager for the firm and assist internal customers with the acquisition and onboarding of new market data 
  • Work closely with internal customers to understand market data need, proactively find cost-effective ways of sourcing data, and ensure no duplication of services across the global firm
  • Answer questions regarding exchange pricing and policies; advise and provide internal training on market data compliance
  • Manage and regularly report on the firm’s market data inventory; generate monthly, quarterly and annual usage reporting and usage declarations to exchanges and third party data vendors
  • Stay abreast of all market data compliance and reporting requirements; play an active role in providing information to various parties to meet those requirements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with exchanges and third party data vendors
  • Create and maintain netting agreements where possible
  • Track exchange policy and pricing changes; communicate changes to internal stakeholders
  • Negotiate and administer exchange contracts
  • Work closely with accounting, purchasing and cost allocation teams to reconcile invoices and ensure accurate cost sharing

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience managing market data services and compliance
  • Previous international market data experience a big plus
  • Strong knowledge of financial products and exchanges, third party data vendor policy, and market data products
  • Previous experience working with market data inventory systems and entitlements tools
  • Strong technical aptitude and continued interest in staying abreast of industry trends and tools
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proficiency in Excel required
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and strong detail orientation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong initiative and drive
  • Must work well in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
  • Desire to grow within our organization
