Manager, Strategy and Analytics - Coupons

As a Strategy and Analytics Manager you'll be responsible for developing strategy and initiatives based on data analysis and insights. You'll work closely with leaders across the Coupon org to help set big picture priorities and direction. Your unique insights and perspective will drive business decisions across all aspects of the business including sales, operations, marketing and product. You’ll spend time on the following:

  • Partner closely with the GM of NA Coupons to identify and drive initiatives across sales, operations, marketing and product

  • Use analytics and data to find opportunities to optimize business performance and develop actionable recommendations that positively impact the business

  • Provide thought leadership and oversight for data analysis needs for the business, including prioritizing business analytics needs within centralized team structure

  • Work with Coupon's global BI team to ensure alignment and bring best practices to the NA team

  • Acting as a key thought partner, brainstorming and identifying solutions to challenges with key NA Marketing Leaders

  • Develop intuitive and informative data visualizations and reports that keep all areas of the business informed

  • Work with Analytics team to facilitate all analysis and measurement reporting

  • Partner with key teams to define near, mid, and long-term implications of key analyses, including Sales, Merchandising, Marketing, Finance, and others

  • Develop a deep understanding of our data sources, pipelines, and streams.  Ensure timely and accurate reporting for all key business needs.

  • Use insights to understand scale and size of various levers, and recommend course of actions

  • Evaluate initiatives and understand trade-offs for the overall Groupon business

 

We’re excited about you if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Economics, or similar; MBA or relevant advanced degree a plus

  • 4+ years of business analytics experience, preferably management consulting, affiliate marketing, ecommerce, or similar fields

  • Significant experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Microstrategy, Cognos, or similar) and Excel; SQL experience is a plus

  • You thrive working on multiple projects with cross-functional teams in a rapidly changing environment

  • Creative problem solver who thinks strategically to identify problems and recommend effective plans of action

  • Work independently, take initiative, and remain flexible in an ever-changing environment

  • Great communications skills, able to explain complex information in simple terms to a broad audience both

  • Able to convey complex information to a broad audience both in person and via keyboard

  • Experience working with and influencing partners and executive leadership
