Operations Analyst, Retirement and Workplace Solutions

The Role: The Workplace group is seeking an Operations Analyst to join our operations team. In this role, you will provide the highest quality operational service support for all products/services offered through Retirement Solutions. You will be responsible for ensuring daily client operational tasks are completed and results are delivered to clients on time. In addition, you will support the development and ongoing maintenance of internal platforms/processes to ensure ongoing operational soundness. This position reports to our Client Operations Manager and is based in our Chicago office.
Responsibilities:
- Support the administrative and operational functions associated with running any of our products and platforms, which includes applications that support the management of retirement accounts such as 401k as well as annuity and insurance products.
- Process and reconcile client files, including transaction, proposals, plan etc. for all applicable products/platforms.
- Manage the timely delivery of annual, quarter or ad hoc reports; working with developers, project managers and consultants as needed.
- Implement and test operational changes for internal processes/data/tools supporting our products/services as assigned.
- Provide maintenance support and testing for internal platforms/processes including database updates to fund data.
- Work with management team, project managers and developers to optimally expedite and resolve internal and client operational issues.
- Develop a thorough understanding of all products/services in order to support operational processes. Stay up to date on product changes, enhancements, and new releases.
- Identify opportunities for improving operational efficiency by automating operational tasks.
- Complete special projects tied to Operations as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience in the software development life cycle (SDLC) process is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with a background working with XML is preferred.
- Must be highly organized, detailed-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Solid organizational, problem solving and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal, technical, and analytical skills.
- Experience working on tasks due under tight timelines.
- Demonstrate self-motivation in an independent, fast-paced work environment.
- A bachelor's degree and knowledge of the financial industry is required.
