Operations Analyst

| Chicago

Freedom and autonomy to make a global impact? Yes, you can have it all.

Groupon’s mission is to become the daily habit in local commerce and fulfill our purpose of building strong communities through thriving small businesses by connecting people to a vibrant, global marketplace for local services, experiences and goods. In the process, we’re positively impacting the lives of millions of customers and merchants globally. Even with thousands of employees spread across multiple continents, we still maintain a culture that inspires innovation, rewards risk-taking and celebrates success. If you want to take more ownership of your career, then you're ready to be part of Groupon.

Groupon is seeking an Operations Analyst who will be responsible for obtaining and reviewing data that will improve our global operational efficiency. You will also design and own reports, ensuring the data and metrics we rely on are complete and accurate. They will work with multiple departments to understand the deals that Groupon runs and how these deals impact global operations.

This isn't your usual analyst gig. We have dynamic growth and little room for error, so data plays an integral role in our decision-making process. You will work from the ground up with little to no direction (but lots of autonomy) to design new processes that help customers fall in love with Groupon. It's an amazing opportunity for someone who wants to challenge themselves and make amazing things happen.

We're a "best of both worlds" kind of company. We're big enough to have resources and scale, but small enough that a single person has a surprising amount of autonomy and can make a meaningful impact. We're curious, fun, a little intense, and kind of obsessed with helping local businesses thrive. Does that sound like a compelling place to work?

  • Complete cost-benefit analysis.

  • Self-starter able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Design, implement and roll out global frameworks for Workforce Management, CS metrics reporting, and support weekly, monthly, & quarterly business reports

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Accounting or related field preferred

  • 2 - 3 years experience, preferably in an e-commerce or consultancy capacity
