WHY BOX NEEDS YOU
Our People Systems Analyst will play a critical role in fulfilling the People Operations Team’s mission to design, continually develop, and reliably deliver People systems solutions that help grow our business at scale.
As a member of the People Team, you will play a critical role linking the People Team with the technical Enterprise Systems Team (Workday IT Team). You will look across the People & Communities Team (People Ops, Talent & Belonging, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, etc.) to drive optimal utilization of tools and system. You will serve as the go-to expert on our People Systems and how they best enable processes across the employee lifecycle, all while learning alongside a highly collaborative (and fun!) team.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Identify inefficiencies and inconsistencies within global People process workflows, and partner with business and IT to drive solutions to improve these and minimize errors
- Partner closely with Workday IT to successfully manage user permissions, troubleshoot workflows, build new workflows and resolve data management issues.
- Be a trusted consultant to People team leaders on creating clear business requirements and thoughtful test cases
- Create and maintain People Operations documentation for system processes and consult with broader People & Communities team to create and launch user enablement for employees
- Lead proactive root cause analyses to identify recurring issues, errors and missed opportunities, and then propose system improvements and solutions to help mitigate them
- Drive consistency in Workday data definitions/classifications to support global data integrity, insights, compliance, and security
- Lead the team through business-side testing for system updates and assist in data uploads for bulk transactions
- Own and drive system enhancements with IT to Box’s People ticketing system, ServiceDesk
WHO YOU ARE
- B.S./B.A. preferred
- HR employee lifecycle knowledge (Onboarding, Departures, etc)
- Workday experience: familiar in Workday (either from the HR transactional lens or from the technical configuration lens)
- Continuous Learning: Passion around continuing to up-level knowledge of new technologies and features (i.e. within Workday, ServiceDesk, etc.)
- Process design & ownership: demonstrate proactive ownership by offering innovative and constructive ideas to leverage system-led solutions to business problems
- Discretion: operate with discretion, integrity, and respect with engaging with sensitive People Team issues or information
- Attention to detail: produce consistent and accurate deliverables while dealing with a high volume of data & interconnected system impacts
- Adaptability: quickly analyze, understand, and adapt to new situations and business problems
- Proven track record of building strong relationships with cross-functional partners and stakeholders
