Job Description 

The Deposits Pricing and Analytics Team within Deposits Products is seeking a Principal Data Science Analyst to lead MIS automation and deliver just-in-time business insights for business decision making. This individual primarily works on the design, development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive process to modernize and automate MIS reporting and just-in-time insight for Deposits Products. The primary focus business areas include (1) connecting data from marketing channels, both upper and lower funnels, application process, onboarding, portfolio management, and/or generating reports for the entire customer journey; (2) creating KPIs for deposits pricings by products, new deposits and portfolio activities, operation and customer experience, (3) visualizing customer journey mapping. This individual defines these key performance indicators and data requirements, is responsible for design and delivery of the MIS automation, just in time insights and performance reviews at executive level. This individual also works alongside business partners in consumer banking product and operations, fraud, finance, risk management, legal, compliance, and business technology.

Major Responsibilities

Provides thought leadership & strategic thinking to translate business problem into analytical framework(s), and independently recommend actions and provide business insights. Operates as a subject matter expert on data structure, data process, statistical analysis, test and design of experiment, analysis methodology, modeling & application, and financial impact analysis.

Collaborates with cross-functional partners to understand their business needs, formulate and complete end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering, analysis, ongoing scaled, presentations and ongoing reporting. Facilitate implementation of work product and ensure accuracy. Establishes and maintains effective performance tracking; identifies improvement opportunity, form hypothesis, propose, design and implement tests to drive strategy enhancement and optimization.

Leads the development and implementation of advanced analytics including customer segmentation, optimization, prescriptive analytics and machine learning algorithm & recommendation to solve business problems. Lead the development of Analytical capabilities with the aim of creating long-term strategic data/analytics assets for the company.

Delivers effective presentations of findings and recommendations to multiple levels of leadership, creating visual displays of quantitative information.

Develops and automates reports, iteratively build and prototype dashboards to provide insights at scale, solving for analytical needs.

Consistently follows standard work processes and documentation requirements. Recommends improvement to work processes to increase efficiency while maintaining quality of work. Continuously improves technical and leadership skills through training and development,

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education - Minimum-Bachelors Engineering or Statistics

Masters in Analytics or Engineering or Mathematics or Statistics Preferred

Work Experience:

4+ years Credit Risk, Fraud Risk, Marketing Analytics, Optimization, Operations Analytics, Modeling/ Data Science or related at minimum.

6+ years Credit Risk, Fraud Risk, Marketing Analytics, Optimization, Operations Analytics, Modeling/ Data Science or related preferred

Additional preferred Skills:

Technical skills required to access and manipulate structure and/or unstructured data include strong programming languages such as Python, R, SAS, proficiency in Tableau and SQL, in-depth knowledge of on premise and /or cloud-based data tools such as Teradata, Snowflake and Jupyter Notebook, and advanced knowledge in data structure and visualization 

Experience in managing data warehouse processes, data governance, agile project management and implementation
