Job Title: QC Specialist – Base Data

Reports To (title): QC Team Lead

Career Level: CL3

Location: Remote

Hours of Work: 40h/week

Line Management Responsibility: No

JOB PURPOSE

· To continually assess and report on the quality of Base Data produced by STATS PERFORM, ensuring it meets agreed quality metrics.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Accurately collect and measure data quality against Operational KPIs across all areas of Base data.

· Ensure Data Operations are following correct processes, highlighting any issues.

· Help produce reports and communicate data-driven insights on a regular basis.

· Deliver the agreed volume of QC checks on time and to the highest standard.

· Assist in producing performance reports on key areas in Base data, making recommendations for Data Operations to review existing processes and people.

· To have the ability to perform quality control checks on unique and potentially difficult data sets.

· To be the last resort for solving difficult queries in Base data in cooperation with the Global Sports Managers.

· Monitor Base Data related cases in STATS PERFORM's internal error flagging system.  

REQUIREMENTS

· Likely to have worked in Sports Data or equivalent business, with 2-5 years experience in data management roles.

· Will have in-depth knowledge of core sports accompanied by a genuine passion and understanding of sports.

· Will have good analytical skills. Displays the ability to review a complex set of business requirements and match the translate to an operational model

· Will have experience in assessing data quality and adept at seeking out data errors, through a high competency and understanding of data collection processes requirements.

· Great written and verbal communication skills. Must have the ability to deliver constructive feedback to a wide range of different stakeholders from different backgrounds

· Communicating with impact. Ability to effectively exchange information, news, ideas and meaning in a business environment. Explain technical concepts in clear concise documents and presentations using language appropriate to the recipient.

· Delivering results. Achieving key operational targets. Promotes a culture of performance delivery, aiming to meet, and where possible, exceed targets.

· Teamwork and collaboration. Working collaboratively with a group of people in order to accomplish a task or achieve a goal. Consistently works with others to accomplish goals and tasks. Treats all team members with respectful courteous and professional manner; supports team despite different points of views or setbacks.

· MS Office. Profound knowledge of MS Excel

· English language. Excellent command of English in verbal and written form, especially formal writing skills
