Quantitative Behavioral Analyst
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage behavioral consulting projects to help business partners achieve their goals. Apply knowledge and insights gained from investment industry to help business partners develop business and marketing strategies for Morningstar products and services (20%). Lead analytics projects to derive actionable in-depth business insights by conducting advanced statistical analyses such as supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques (including principal component analysis, factor analysis, structural equation modeling, random forest, clustering, classification, neural networks, etc.) Develop meaningful customer segments by applying advanced statistical analyses to identify customers' behavioral patterns (50%). Design experiments and tests to evaluate the impact of your recommended strategies on customer behaviors and product marketing success. Communicate and present the results of your tests to management and recommend next steps to a wide range of business partners for continuous improvement (10%). Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for improvement and leverage company data to develop business solutions (10%). Coordinate with different functional teams to implement statistical behavioral models and monitor the model performance (10%).
Requirements:• Master's degree in Statistics, Applied Statistics, or Mathematics.• 1 year of work experience in conducting customer behavioral and psychological analyses in the investment industry.• 1 year of experience with conducting a variety of supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques and knowledge of real-world advantages and drawbacks of these techniques.• 1 year of experience with conducting advanced statistical analyses and tests, including regression, ANOVA, ANCOVA, statistical experiment design and evaluation.• 1 year of experience with conducting all data mining, machine learning, and advanced statistical analyses by using professional mainstream statistical programming languages, Python and SLQ.• 1 year of experience with conducting behavioral and psychological analyses to identify both motivators and obstacles of customer behaviors.• 1 year of experience with business intelligence tools including Tableau, Google Analytics, and Data Studio to conduct quick analyses and derive actionable business insights.• 1 year of experience with presenting analysis findings and strategy recommendations to management.• All interested candidates who meet the education, experience, and skills requirements of the role need to pass a structured technical interview to be deemed as qualified candidates.
