Quantitative Researcher
Wolverine has an opportunity for an experienced quantitative researcher or quantitative trader to join a growing options market-making desk within a well-established firm. The ideal candidate will have experience defining research priorities and gleaning actionable insights from large datasets within the US equities and/or index options space. You are excited not only by the challenges inherent to options pricing and exchange market data analysis, but you are driven to understand the entire workflow of a trade and how your research fits into that pipeline. The right candidate will have the opportunity to help define our research priorities and influence the datasets and research infrastructure that are critical to our mission of constantly evolving our trading philosophy.
Job Requirements:• 2+ years of experience conducting or guiding research on large sets of exchange market data and/or options pricing datasets• Exposure to and a deep understanding of low latency market making technology and how insights gleaned from research projects are put into a production trading system• Strong stats background• Expert python skills and knowledge of modern data science packages or expert knowledge of a similar language with a willingness to learn python• Strong communication skills and experience working with software and hardware engineers to see your research through to production• Knowledge of exchange infrastructure is a plus• Experience with C++ or a similar language is a plus
