The Security Analyst will be responsible for security event monitoring activities, including identifying, evaluating and reporting on information security events. This candidate will have technical experience with the implementation and management of security controls (e.g., Operating Systems, Applications, Data Security, Web Applications, Encryption, Authentication Mechanisms, Access Management).

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the security (confidentiality, integrity, and availability) of data and systems related to the corporate, retail and e-commerce infrastructures
  • This would include planning, documentation, testing and analysis of results to ensure completion
  • Run the vulnerability management program, including scanning for vulnerabilities, conducting penetration testing and partnering with other teams and vendors to remediate findings
  • Research the latest information technology (IT) security trends and recommend security enhancements to management
  • Follow established incident response procedures and take direction in a fast-paced environment
  • Quickly respond to escalated security incident tickets to assess, contain, and eradicate threats
  • Recommend and implement improvements to security processes and services
  • Maintain the security awareness program providing critical information about security risks and requirements to all stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Security and Risk Management, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or related major or commensurate experience
  • 3-5+ years of experience securing IT systems
  • Hands-on experience in security systems, intrusion detection systems, endpoint detection and response software, authentication systems, log management, and content filtering
  • Experience with network technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools
  • Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols
  • Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Experience in a start-up is a plus!
