Job Responsibilities

• Designs intermediate/complex level studies, models, reports, and analyses.
• Pulls and stages complex data sets.
• Analyzes data or develops models using intermediate/complex level techniques.
• Participates in and may lead communications with clients (internal and external) and vendors.
• Uses analytical tools such as SAS in diverse data analyses.
• Uses ICD9/10, CPT4, NDC, lab data, and other clinical fields in diverse data analyses.

Basic Qualifications

• Master's Degree or Associate of the Society of Actuaries credential with at least 3 years of experience -or- Bachelor's Degree and at least 5 years of experience - or - High School Diploma/GED and at least 8 years of experience. Experience should be in healthcare research or analytics. Degree should be in a healthcare or analytics related field such as statistics, epidemiology, mathematics, economics, social or actuarial sciences.
• At least 3 years of experience manipulating complex data sets.
• Experience with advanced quantitative methods.
• Experience contributing to small analytical projects from conceptualization through completion.
• Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).
• Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting a picture, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart style and/or formatting font).
• Intermediate level experience with SAS programming or comparable.
• Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in public health, statistics, epidemiology, mathematics, economics, actuarial science, or social or health sciences.
• Experience authoring or co-authoring published manuscripts in peer reviewed journal publications.
• Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns).
• Experience presenting and reporting on analytical results to appropriate internal stakeholders including senior management.
