Primary Responsibilities

As the Senior Business Intelligence Developer, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the success and growth of KeHE by engaging with internal business stakeholders of all levels across the business, consult with them, and provide support & guidance in defining and delivering their BI needs by turning data into actionable insights.

Essential Functions

• Convert business requirements into actionable technical requirements which can be executed using business intelligence tools and determine timeline to accomplish
• Design and implement data transformations such as: changing data format, transforming data shape to support the data model, analysis, and visualization
• Identify and communicate data quality and data reconciliation issues
• Understand data model optimizations and relationships (star schema)
• Create aesthetically pleasing, easy to use, professional dashboards
• Explore, transform to meet modeling and any ad hoc reporting needs - advanced SQL query proficiency
• Work with users and team members at all levels to advise, train and support
• Develop user training documentation as well as create and lead webinar training sessions with users
• Support at all stages of the project lifecycle
• Stay updated with advancements and best practices in design and development

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude

• BA in Business, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or relevant field
• 2-5 years of experience using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Qlik (Power BI Preferred)
• Must have experience in creating data-rich dashboards, writing DAX expressions, and implementing row-level security
• High competency in SQL & DAX
• UX (user experience) and UI (user interface) Designer
• SSRS report building skills preferred
• Competency in R or Python preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Strong level of proficiency in MS Excel in data manipulation, including pivot tables, vlookup functions, VBA
• Analytical mindset with a problem-solving approach
• Demonstrates a strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated, eager to learn and focused on continuous improvement
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work productively and effectively as part of a team
• Demonstrated background of strong character, integrity, and sound decision-making
