Job DescriptionTITLE: Senior Data Engineer
DUTIES: DFS Corporate Services LLC seeks Senior Data Engineer in Riverwoods, IL to support design and develop data driven platforms and next generation analytic technologies. Design and develop data ingestion frameworks, real time processing solutions, and data processing and transformation frameworks leveraging open source tools. Deploy application code and analytical models using CI/CD tools and techniques and provide support for deployed data applications and analytical models. Provide senior level technical consulting to peer data engineers during design anddevelopment for highly complex and critical data projects. Promote a risk‐aware culture to ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in job offered or related occupation: translating business and technology requirements into Extract, Transform and Load/Extract and Load and Transform (ETL/ELT) architecture; collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud and platform engineering, database administrators (DBAs), and business teams; designing and developing real-time and batch data ingestion and stream-analytic solutions leveraging technologies, including Kafka, Apache Spark, Kinesis, Java, Non-Structured Query Language Databases (NoSQL DBs), and AWS Elastic MapReduce (EMR); developing Custom Data pipeline (Cloud and locally hosted); and ensuring compliance with data governance policies by implementing or validating Data Lineage Quality checks and classification.
