Senior Data Scientist, Customer Data Modeling at Bounteous
Role and Responsibilities
- Produce data-driven models for a wide range of business problems and industries using best-practice techniques in regression and classification, while demonstrating a connection to marketing strategy principles such as audience targeting and personalization
- Aggregate and analyze disparate datasets, including web analytics, customer, and marketing data to draw conclusions and deliver actionable insight
- Join user level data from multiple sources using APIs, Cloud Functions, and built in platform integrations, to build user propensity models and product recommenders
- Deploy model pipelines in production environments across Google Cloud Platform, Adobe Experience Platform, and Azure
- Work directly with clients from various industries, explaining methods at appropriate level, anticipating and explaining risks and blockers
- Collaborate with project managers, communicating updates to progress and timelines, and balancing workloads across 3-5 client accounts at a time
- Collaborate with internal marketing, design and strategy teams to define and execute cross-functional solutions, driving meaningful activation in digital marketing platforms
- Articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner, both in speech and writing; understand the audience and tailor messages accordingly
- Contribute to a highly collaborative data science team with brainstorming, peer reviews, and knowledge transfer to increase consistency of deliverables and repeatability of solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years experience in digital marketing, with 1-2 years applying machine learning algorithms for clients
- Bachelor’s degree demonstrating skills in quantitative and scientific methods; advanced degrees a plus; additional data science certifications a plus
- Experience working with Google or Adobe web analytics data
- Demonstrated advanced SQL skills (partitioning, nesting, regex, etc.)
- Demonstrated advanced Python skills, with experience in regression and classification techniques for user-level predictions
- Knowledge of either Google or Adobe marketing ecosystems (Paid/Social, Email, CRO)
- Experience with Adobe Experience Platform is a major plus
- Experience with cloud computing platforms and data warehousing a plus (GCP, AWS or Azure)
