Senior Digital Strategist
Description
The Senior Digital Strategist will lead the strategy, development, deployment and program management for Caterpillar’s Building Construction Products (BCP) Division’s Machine Sales Online effort. This will include defining, identifying, and guiding the strategic roadmap, and both the current and future state of the program. Key measures of success for this individual include program enhancement/expansion, lead generation, budget management and quality metrics.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Lead strategy, execution and deployment of Machine Sales Online effort in alignment with goals set forth by stakeholders across all global regions of Caterpillar
- Act as program manager and leader for Machine Sales Online program, both the current state and the future roadmap
- Work closely with stakeholders to define requirements and understand the desired future state functionality and capabilities of the Machine Sales Online program
- Collaborate with others in the BCP Retail Development team, Product Groups and Construction Industries marketers, as well as partners in Cat Digital and Dealer Deployment to define objectives and develop solutions to solve business challenges for customers and dealers
- Organize, facilitate and lead collaborative workshop sessions with a diverse set of professional experiences including product, technology, IT, digital development, retail, commercial, pricing and marketing
- Manage communications across internal stakeholders and Caterpillar’s dealer network about enhancements, updates and modifications to the site
- Create comprehensive demand generation marketing communications plan and manage existing/ongoing program in partnership with BCP Regional Marketing teams
- Work with partners to create messaging platform and content strategy for demand generation programs and utilize SEO best practices in order to drive paid and organic traffic
- Partner with both internal teams and agency vendors to set ongoing testing and optimization plans to drive ongoing, incremental site performance improvements
- Analyze web analytics and make recommendations for improvements based on these insights
- Research, recognize and understand digital innovations to ensure program is leveraging market best practices
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree
- Minimum of 8-10 years in roles leading/managing a combination of CX/UX, digital strategy, digital architecture, website development, program management, analytics and/or digital marketing communications
- Demonstrated experience leading, deploying and enhancing successful customer-facing websites or comparable digital channels
- Demonstrated ability to “roll up your sleeves” and execute in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of the backend/technical aspect of web channels
- Ability to take complex digital concepts and translate into language appropriate for executive leadership, management and project team members
- A natural strategist – always wanting to dig deeper into root causes, and skilled as an active listener
- Comfortable making, communicating and defending large-scale, strategic, data-driven decisions
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Reputation as being “easy to work with” and a positive, resilient mentality
