About the Team:

The Digital Team is responsible for managing the Illinois Lottery Brand, Marketing, and Games presence online and delivering iLottery sales growth and engagement through the web, mobile and social channels.

Position Overview:

The Senior Manager, Digital Performance Data and Analytics will report to the Director of Digital Performance and will be responsible for developing analysis of the Illinois Lottery’s digital iLottery performance, completing analytical projects, and data discovery/exploration supporting Camelot Illinois’ digital sales, acquisition, and retention objectives and commercial targets. This role is at the intersection of data analytics, digital marketing, and conversion journey. The ideal candidate will be self-driven, regularly exploring data for opportunities that fit within our digital performance marketing strategy via SQL, Tableau, and Adobe Analytics/Google Analytics, and recommending these opportunities to the Digital Team and the broader organization. They will work with the Director of Digital Performance to analyze the impact of platform changes, CRM and Acquisition activities and campaigns, and macro events.

Responsibilities:

● Hands-on management, analysis, and execution of iLottery acquisition & retention tests and tactics in conjunction with campaigns defined by Marketing Team

● Work with our performance-driven marketing team to understand test results, develop new segments, and improve KPIs

● Develop In-depth knowledge of existing iLottery data, and exploration of new datasets as they become available from new games and features

● Keep a detailed record of campaigns, and how they're driving our key business metrics such as LTV, CAC, expected spend across iLottery and our retail partners, etc

● Work with rest of the marketing and media team, digital team, product team, in-house studio and other stakeholders to create a great digital player experience and better understand/segment players

● Recommend ongoing conversion platform optimizations based on business needs

Requirements

Requirements:

● Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience.

● 4+ yrs in a growth or performance marketing position within a consumer-facing company

● 3+ years experience performing analytics utilizing SQL and database skills in

Teradata, AWS, and/or SQL Server databases, including experience writing SQL queries from scratch to investigate business opportunities/issues

● 2+ years Tableau or a similar data visualization tool experience

● Comprehensive knowledge of attribution measurement and approaches to testing and measuring the incrementality of digital marketing tactics.

● Experience partnering with platform development teams and advocating for features that enable digital performance optimization

● Have an entrepreneurial spirit supported by maturity and sensibility for a regulated environment

● Experience with leading a small team of data-focused digital analysts

● Have courage in decision-making and an appetite for a test, learn and move forward.

● Deeply data-driven and insights led, proficient in spreadsheets, reporting dashboards, and G-Suite/Excel

● Ability to articulate complex ideas and insights in a way that is simply understood and facilitates decision making.

● Action-oriented, agile/flexible, focused, but curious

Preferred Qualifications:

● Experience using digital analytics tools like Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics

● Experience working in eCommerce platforms

● Experience working on digital conversion optimization projects

● Experience with Digital Promotions and Offers

● Experience with AdTech or MarTech and tracking digital media campaigns from click through to sales
