Job Description

What you get to do in this role:

· Architect analytics fact, dimension tables to enable self-serve analytics and reporting/dashboards.

· Collaborate with data modelers from various data domains to ensure consistency of data models

· Work with Data Engineers to define, create, deploy and test analytic/fact tables and data models (data vault 2.0, dimension modeling) in Snowflake, SAP HANA databases

· Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models with associated metadata, including data lineage and technical data definitions

· Provide direction and guidance in the implementation of data warehouses, marts, cubes, and universes to support analytic work product requirements

· Work closely with the Data & Analytics team to help build the backend solutions for reporting, dashboarding, and analysis.

· Launch and support new data models that provide intuitive analytics to internal customers

· Prototype new technologies and implement innovative solutions to enable teams to consume and understand data faster.

· Leverage business and domain acumen to interpret and translate business requirements to architecture/technology plans.

· Partner with Global Data & Analytics team to help implement solutions for broader end-user adoption

Qualifications

In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who has:

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or similar. Master’s degree preferred

· 15+ years of hands-on experience working in enterprise-scale data warehousing, data architecture, and/or data engineering environments.

· 7+ years of analytic data modeling experience, especially dimensional data modeling

· 7+ years of SQL (HANA, Snowflake, Oracle, Hive, etc.) experience is required

· Experience with data warehouse, data lake, and enterprise big data

· Good understanding of various models in Star Schema, Snowflake, Data Vault, etc.

· Good knowledge of metadata management, data modeling, and related tools (Erwin or ER Studio or others) required.

· Experience with data workflow management, ELT tools (Airflow, Matillion, Talend, DBT, etc.)

· Expertise in database design & development & SQL on HANA/Snowflake is a plus

· Excellent communication skills, ability to work individually and in a broader geographically disperse team
