Your Responsibilities:

• Own metrics tracking, key results setting, and monitoring of supply and demand dynamics within several Upwork business offerings and emerging initiatives that empower clients with top talent from around the world.

• Lead hybrid strategy and analytics projects from concept to execution: translate a business question into an analytical framework, generate insights through analysis, effectively communicate recommended actions with cross-functional partners, and set up tracking to hold us accountable for achieving our objectives.

• Collaborate with product leaders to deeply understand customer engagement and proactively generate insights to improve their experience.

• Deliver thought leadership to key partners through A/B testing, dashboards, and strategic analyses in order to compel changes in corporate strategy and product decisions.

• Become a strategic thought partner to product and business partners.

What it takes to catch our eye:

• Showcase extensive experience leading analytics projects end-to-end and thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Show us that you’ve made a difference with tangible outcomes in previous roles.

• Show a history of seeing the big strategic questions and going deep into data to analyze them. Demonstrate critical thinking, curiosity, and an ability to distill data into a story to present in a clear way.

• Have the ability to take complex and abstract problems and find ways to measure their impact. Proactively recommend data-informed solutions.

• Combine strong SQL skills, background with strategy, BI fluency, a working knowledge of A/B experiments, and a proven understanding of statistics.

• Show passion for getting into the details - write code, dig into data, iterate quickly and take action. Go beyond what is asked and proactively identify areas for concern that others may not see without data.
