We help clients solve Big Data Constraints.

DAAP integrates data sources (SPINS, IRI, Nielsen, Whole Foods Market, Costco, Amazon, and more) into a single platform that provides one common view of category hierarchies and brand/sub-brand structures. We build a custom harmonized database that cleans and integrates the data so it can be used for the development of insights and tactical, strategic recommendations. We are looking to add a Sr. SQL Data Analyst to our team.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for assisting and managing weekly tasks to include but not limited to the following:
    • Existing SQL process maintenance
    • SQL process enhancements
    • Production process automation
  • You will be responsible for assisting and managing monthly tasks to include but limited to the following:
    • Support monthly production data ingestion
    • Monthly data extraction processing
  • You will assist in the development of our next generation data engine. This will be a dynamic, database driven SQL engine utilizing the Google Big Query database platform.
  • The new data engine will include the following focus, but not limited to:
    • Data ingestion engine
    • Data processing engine
    • Data extraction engine
    • Data acquisition processes
    • Data scrubbing processes

Qualifications:

  • Proven capabilities, including 4+ years of work experience
  • Experience with key business concepts/analysis and working knowledge of the CPG/Retail industry is highly desirable
  • Strong emphasis on SQL
  • Must haven proven database experience. SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, and/or Big Query (big plus)
  • Experience with Denormalized data
  • Experience with large data sets, data shaping and data processing
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python and/or Powershell for automated processes and scalability
  • Experience with Linux and Windows
  • Preferred experience with Excel, Tableau, R, Google Cloud Platform, Alteryx, Machine Learning and programming (Java, Python, .NET, VBA)
  • Experience capturing and translating business requirements into technical solutions
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with individuals with varying levels of technical abilities
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Motivated, results driven attitude
