Job Description

Compiles and analyzes technical business system requirements for new system projects or modifications to existing business systems. Performs feasibility and needs analysis, via best-in-class benchmarking, as well as alternative solutions. Serves as subject matter expert associated with content, processes, and procedures. Develops high level implementation plans.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate across business and IT organizations, to develop solutions, identify key performance indicators, create use case scenarios to enable data-driven business outcomes.
  • Partner with business product owners and stakeholders to develop functional features and groom backlog to prioritize demand for data and analytics features.
  • Work with BSAs and other subject matter experts to determine feasibility and size estimates for feature request.
  • Understand the business context (trends and business strategy), develop hypotheses for new insights using data and prove out via prototypes / mockups.
  • Accountable for putting together the project teams and lead the delivery of the agreed-to solutions.
  • Enroll business partners on the vision for the business intelligence and analytics.
  • Keep up to date on industry trends and bring outside-in knowledge to MSI.

Skills

  • Ability to create high level conceptual models that communicate in business language.
  • Demonstrated cross functional leadership working across a large and matrixed environment, including IT staff members, development partners, consultants and vendors.
  • Experience in agile-based development and and information lifecycle.
  • Strong data mining and analytical skills.
  • Domain knowledge of one or more of the following areas is a plus - Goto Market, Products, Services, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance.
  • Experience with Predictive analytics / Data science/ machine learning is a plus .
  • Master’s degree preferred.


Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10 + years of experience in the IT / Consulting or related profession, with 5 + years serving in a data / analytics role.
