We currently have a need for a Senior Data Analyst

McDonald’s is looking for an established Data Analyst to join the Global Data and Analytics Platform. You will need to be a self-starter who can work in a diverse and fast-paced environment. Role:

The Senior Data Analyst will be part of the Data Architecture/Data Modeling team supporting McDonald’s Global Data and Analytics platform. This team is responsible for all data related designs, including all logical and physical data models and documentation. This person will interact directly with product owners, business analysts, developers, solution architects and the DBA team to create data assets that will allow our business partners to quickly deliver on analytical use cases. This analyst should possess excellent oral and written communication skills and have the ability and desire to advance into a data architecture/data modeling role.

· BS in Computer Science or related field is REQUIRED.

· Working knowledge of relational and dimensional data design and modeling in a large multi-platform data environment.

· Excellent problem solver - use of data and technology to solve problems or answer complex data related questions.

· Ability to manage multiple projects under multiple subject areas at once.

· Ability to think creatively about data designs and options.

· Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

· 3+ years of experience with creating SQL to investigate data anomalies, patterns and profiling.

· Experience with JIRA and Confluence as part of project workflow and documentation tools is a plus.

· Experience with Agile project management methods and terminology a plus.

Desired Skills:

· Advanced SQL coding skills preferred.

· Cloud AWS experience preferred.

· Experience with Redshift, SQL Server, and NoSQL (Cassandra) is preferred.

· Comprehensive understanding of enterprise and dimensional data modeling methodologies related to Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence.

· Knowledge and experience with CRM a plus.

· Capture business requirements and translate them into objects used for data ingest, reporting and advanced analytics.

· Assist business analysts with providing clear and concise business rules.

· Data mapping and data profiling data sources using SQL and data profiling tools.

· Lead data design sessions with product teams.

· Collect and document system flows and other pertinent technical information about data database design and/or data systems.

· Implement and follow established data governance standards in the data model and standardization of business definitions.

· Transform business concepts into the written word to provide comprehensive business definition of objects.

· Serve as subject matter expert on data within the Global Data and Analytics platform.

· Participate on data quality management initiatives.
