Director of Culinary Strategy will expected to immediately take on a key leadership role on the culinary team by identifying and executing high-impact projects in the culinary department. This person will not only be a thought leader but also a team player that can roll up his/her sleeves to tackle the most critical projects. The role will also be expected to manage a team of 2-4 people to support the delivery of key culinary projects and data analytics. We are looking for a top tier consultant who is looking to move into a corporate environment.

Qualifications

Passion for cooking, eating and all-things food related
2+ years of experience at a top-tier strategy consulting firm or similarly fast-paced and high-pressure environment requiring strategic thinking and decision making
1+ years of experience managing people
Strong leadership skills
Comfort deriving actionable insights from large, complex data sets
Experience owning the end to end execution of high-impact cross-functional projects
Ability to work effectively with people coming from a wide range of backgrounds - from chefs to editors

Education

Undergraduate or master’s degree from a top-tier university

Iyer is a senior manager of new product development, but she also plays an active role in Home Chef’s cross-functional group, HC Connect. The group organizes social events that promote a sense of belonging across the company and also collaborates with the many affinity groups at Home Chef. Recently, Iyer attended a Mardi Gras trivia night where she learned about Creole culture and Spanish law.

I try to attend as many events as possible. I want to support my peers, but I also walk away with more than I expected, whether it’s a piece of trivia or understanding someone’s perspective in a new light.
