Employee Compensation – Stock and Equity Administrator (Remote Optional)

Basis’s Finance team employs our product, Basis, to invoice, reconcile, and recognize revenue—all from one platform. WAYS YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE
Reporting to the Senior Director, Financial Planning & Reporting, you will support the day-to-day administration of the company's stock-based compensation plans. You will collaborate with internal business partners, engage with employee regarding equity questions, maintain our Equity Management Platform, and assist with employee education and training regarding the company's equity plans. You will contribute by:
- Ensuring the day-to-day accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of all equity data in equity management platform and system of record (Certent)
- Reconciling equity activity regularly with the company/legal/broker/transfer agent records and payroll data (employee and shareholder information, transaction activity, per share data, shares outstanding, share reserves, etc.)
- Serving as the primary point of contact for participant inquiries
- Maintaining company’s capitalization table
- Supporting the Accounting team with technical accounting projects related to stock-based compensation
- Partnering with Legal and external counsel on verifying compliance with federal and state securities laws, and maintaining regulatory requirements on all stock plan regulatory requirements
- Partnering with the HR and Accounting teams to determine and process any necessary reportable earnings and tax withholdings
- Partnering with our transfer agent and broker to ensure a smooth equity administration environment
- Acting as point of contact for external audit related to stock compensation disclosures
- Preparing data needed for SEC filings including 10-Q, 10-K, proxy compensation tables and 10b5-1 trading plans
- Assisting in implementing process improvements and supporting automation
- Assisting in development and maintenance of policies and procedures related to stock administration
- Monitoring trends, best practices and regulatory developments impacting equity plans and keeping senior management informed as necessary
- Working with internal teams and stock plan administrator Fidelity on system updates and process automation
- Establishing and/or maintaining internal controls and assisting in the documentation and evaluation of financial and business processes in support of the Company’s SOX compliance requirements

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- 2+ years experience in stock administration at a public company
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Technical research skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Strong MS Office skills; specifically, Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
- Ability to keep information confidential, work independently and balance multiple priorities
