The Strategy and Operations Analyst will be a part of the newly formed Global Programs team and is responsible for using data-driven insights to drive business transformation initiatives globally. As a Strategy and Operations Analyst, you will collaborate with partners across multiple functions and regions establishing and socializing key performance indicators to track initiative performance. You will work closely with functional SME’s to align metric outputs to opportunities for improvement and develop business cases to drive step-function improvements in Groupon’s business.

You’ll spend time on the following:
You will collect, analyze, and evaluate data to understand macro business trends and measure effectiveness of business transformation initiatives
You will partner with business stakeholders, analytic and data specialists from around the company to develop globally consistent reporting and tools to drive accountability
You will work closely with Finance to develop business cases, forecasts and long-term plans
You will communicate performance trends and analyses to key partners across the organization.
Help identify the tools and design the processes needed to implement new business ideas and concepts
Assist with special financial and business related studies
Assist the team with coloring in the lines in the team coloring book
We’re excited about you if you have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Business Information Systems or related fields
3-5 years of professional experience, preferably in management consulting, e-commerce, or other equally rigorous and quantitative positions
You're deeply analytical, with advanced Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of SQL/Teradata preferred.
You are passionate about working with data, measuring performance, and making decisions based on quantitative and/or deductive reasoning.
You are able to convey complex information to a broad audience either by email, chat, phone or slide show
You have experience working with and influencing decision-makers and executive leadership in the past
You're a creative problem solver who can identify problems unilaterally and recommend effective plans of action
You're able to work independently, take initiative, and remain flexible in an ever-changing environment
