Detailed Responsibilities:

Own management and full life cycle of strategic projects, from conception through full implementation

Implement initiatives that the Strategy team has developed--not just conceptualize solutions, but actually bring them to life

Oversee and track all steps of process -- concepts, planning, initiation, piloting, implementation, closure, including documenting steps and rationales

Work closely with and regularly respond to stakeholders on projects to ensure needs of project and stakeholders are being met

Work with cross functional teams, in and outside the company, and prioritize project stakeholder feedback as received

Manage a portfolio of projects and initiatives, with multiple projects in flight at any given time

Develop well-thought out, data driven solutions and answers to strategic questions and challenges

Work with Home Chef data sources to understand elements of the business such as customer behavior, sales, and internal performance metrics

Build reporting tools to help synthesize and present data in accessible ways, such as dashboards or auto generated reports and emails

Develop solutions to automate certain manual or repetitive processes

Analytics

Experience in data driven problem solving such as correlation analysis Understanding of basic statistical concepts such as standard deviation

Comfort working with large data sets, multiple data sources, and linking tab workbooks

Technical

Strong experience working in Google Sheets and / or Excel

Strong experience working in Google Slides, PowerPoint, or other presentation tool

Experience and expertise with business intelligence tools such as Looker or Tableau

Preferred Skills / Experience

Experience with SQL

Experience with Python

Familiarity with food industry and / or meal kit industry

MBA or consulting experience

Project management experience in food, digital, data, strategic planning, and / or new capability development

As a leader, Stone knows that one of his responsibilities is to mold the culture of his team. The senior director of business analytics works with Home Chef’s human resource partners to bring in candidates that have diverse backgrounds and a wide range of experience. Hosting events that bring everyone together

Iyer is a senior manager of new product development, but she also plays an active role in Home Chef’s cross-functional group, HC Connect. The group organizes social events that promote a sense of belonging across the company and also collaborates with the many affinity groups at Home Chef. Recently, Iyer attended a Mardi Gras trivia night where she learned about Creole culture and Spanish law.

I try to attend as many events as possible. I want to support my peers, but I also walk away with more than I expected, whether it’s a piece of trivia or understanding someone’s perspective in a new light.
