The Therapies Team at Tempus partners with the Life Sciences Industry to identify actionable clinical trial options for cancer patients. Tempus identifies relevant, open, and recruiting clinical trials personalized to each patient’s molecular and clinical context with its proprietary trial matching software. To increase trial access, Tempus works to bring studies to patients through the TIME Trial™ Network, a just-in-time network of providers in the community that can rapidly activate and enroll patients into trials closer to home.
The Therapies Team is seeking a Commercial Growth Analyst who has a strong interest in cancer genomics, querying and analyzing data and working with the Life Science industry to give more cancer patients access to novel clinical trials.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and implement processes to identify and analyze the patient cohorts that best fit the inclusion / exclusion criteria for interventional clinical trials
- Partner with Tempus’ Pharma Business Development Team to lead data-driven engagement with Life Science companies conducting clinical research
- Track and report on business trends and emerging growth opportunities within Life Sciences
- Identify and socialize improvements to data processing and workflow automation
Required Experience:
- 2+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in an analytical or consulting role within or in support of the Life Sciences or Healthcare industry
- Strong command of SQL and/or other scripting languages to retrieve data from various bioinformatics databases
- Experience working with disorganized data from various sources and translating raw data into practical insights and recommendations
- Comfortable working in a client-facing, fast-paced environment with executive stakeholders
- Experience building client-ready deliverables and other outputs
Nice-to-haves:
- Strong interest in oncology, cancer genomics, molecular biology and/or clinical trials, as demonstrated by focus area in school/university or a side project
- Ability to prioritize work independently, take ownership of deliverables, navigate ambiguity and juggle multiple projects simultaneously
- Curiosity and willingness to learn skills to elevate the use of automation in commercial operations
