This role provides a phenomenal opportunity for a self-starter looking to make a large impact in a fast-growing business. As Groupon Goods continues to grow, the focus on shipping operations and the need to drive freight spend down is of utmost importance.
The Transportation Analyst will work closely with the Manager & other analysts in team to continuously find opportunities to optimize the shipping function and implement them. Responsibilities include data-centric analysis, completing one-off cost studies related to the network and implementing operational changes to improve shipping along with following through and maintaining the changes on an ongoing basis.
Key responsibilities include:
You will update and maintain google based quote tool, help buyers with the quoting process
You will assist in auditing/analyzing shipping forecast (from Quoting Tool) vs actuals
You will work with buyers to refine quotes so that estimates are aligned with actuals
You will collect & analyze shipping invoice data to monitor the compliance against our vendor routing guide
We rely on you to review/approve invoices and initiate compliance related charge-backs on a weekly basis; Work directly with carriers, facilities, and vendors to resolve shipping non-compliance
You will partner with our internal groups (Facilities, Buying and Vendor Operations) to develop and implement solutions to improve shipping function
You get to standardize departmental processes and procedures
You will complete one-off transportation studies as required
Job Requirements:
Bachelors in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain Management required. Meaningful work experience will be substituted for education.
Strong excel skills required, willingness to learn Access/SQL/Tableau preferred.
Project management skills a requirement, ability to work effectively with cross functional teams with minimum supervision required.
Mentally flexible & self-motivated - willingness and desire to dive deep into the details while being able to synthesize and implement resolution appropriately.
ecommerce experience a plus
