Associate UX Researcher

If you answered yes to any of these, then we have the job for you. Saggezza is looking for a full-time Associate UX Researcher to join our Chicago team. This individual will be working with one of our clients in St. Louis, assisting Senior UX Research team members on various projects.

This individual must be comfortable with travelling nationwide to client sites when needed (up to 30%) and needs to be comfortable working directly on-site with clients. 

This role also requires someone who has a proven ability to be a leader on a small team, while still working collaboratively with its team members.

 

The Role

  • Partner with UX Architects, Researchers, Analysts and Product Leadership to prepare user test proposals and plans
  • Assisting Senior UX Research team members on various projects by incorporating complex technical and business requirements from different value streams into research analysis and ideation
  • Recruit, screen, consent, and schedule participants for major types of user research including qualitative usability studies (remote and in-person, moderated), surveys, workshops, field studies
  • Help develop a user research repository and a backlog for different value streams
  • Obtain access and on-board team to proper user research and analysis tools
  • Maintain schedules on a variety of user research tools
  • Collect user behaviors taking different roles during test sessions
  • Advocate research findings to various audiences through written reports and presentations
  • Sketching and low-fidelity wireframing of preliminary interaction ideas

What You Will Definitely Need

  • 0-2 years of professional UX Research experience
  • Degree or an ongoing degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, User Experience Design, Industrial Design, Industrial Engineering, Social Sciences (Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, etc.) or similar field
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, presentation and collaboration skills - written and verbal with the ability to work independently as well as in groups
  • Experience with user and/or usability research, moderating interviews, and qualitative analysis
  • Familiarity with integrating user research into product designs and design practices in an Agile environment
  • Ability to produce key findings as well as recommendation reports, develop personas and task matrices, task lists, task process diagrams, and user journey maps
  • Desire to work hands-on for an innovative project from start to finish, and the ability to think creatively and contribute fresh ideas and progressive insights
  • Experience with remote collaboration tools, including Mural.co, Lucidchart and with design tools, including Sketch, Omnigraffle, Invision or other similar design and rapid prototyping tools
  • Showcase your work via a digital or printed portfolio that demonstrates creative thinking and problem-solving skills

What We’d Love to See

  • Experience in Enterprise UX, preferably in with FinTech and/or Payment Systems
  • Verbal and written proficiency in a foreign language
  • Familiarity with fundamental design principles (typography, layout, grid systems, hierarchy, color, composition)
  • Previous experience or familiarity with Agile and/or Lean UX frameworks
  • Previous Product Development or Scrum experience
