The brand design team at Sprout Social is comprised of multidisciplinary designers, illustrators, animators and video producers who are passionate about defining brand standards, visualizing compelling stories, and creating delightful experiences for our customers, prospects and internal team. We’re a tight knit group with teams in Chicago and Seattle who proudly do 100% of our work in-house. As a Brand Designer at Sprout, you’ll work closely with our Marketing, Product Marketing, Sales, Events and People teams to deliver solutions for a wide range of projects.

Our design team will be growing over time and we are looking to find the best possible team members as opportunities emerge. Within 1 month you will…

  • Attend 2 weeks of Sprout Social training to learn the ins and outs of the product and better understand the value that Sprout delivers to our customers.
  • Get to know everyone on the Design team (Brand and Product), Marketing Development team and key influencers within Marketing.
  • Start to familiarize yourself with Sprout’s brand (including our family of products).
  • Attend daily stand-ups, kick-off meetings, and design presentations with our partners in an agile, sprint-based work environment.
  • Soak up knowledge from every team you interact with and ask a lot of questions!

Within 3 months you will…

  • Have a good understanding of the Sprout customer and their needs..
  • Learn from the Brand Creative team and become familiar working within Sprout’s brand guidelines.
  • Begin to take ownership and manage timelines on a spectrum of design projects including sales campaigns, data reports, user guides and sell sheets.
  • Execute on a wide range of illustration work including scene, spot and iconography.

Within 6 months you will…

  • See projects from inception to conclusion with limited supervision.
  • Maintain brand integrity while advancing creativity within the context of project execution.
  • Solve problems by expressing ideas and design concepts through sketches, mood boards and wireframes to clearly articulate a thorough plan.
  • Work and iterate through design process with creative check-ins, integrating feedback and creative direction throughout.
  • Be comfortable and proactive about working with the rest of the Brand Creative team to push the creativity of our designs and overall brand.
  • Successfully run meetings and presentations with our partners by discussing a project’s key objectives, creative direction and design process.

Within 12 months you will...

  • Maintain brand integrity while advancing creativity within the context of project execution.
  • Be completely at home as a critical member of the Brand Creative team as well as the company as a whole, with a deep understanding of the team’s needs.
  • Surprise us! Use your unique ideas and abilities to change Sprout in beneficial ways that we haven’t even considered yet.
