About the role:

As a Creative Director, you’ll spearhead Cameo’s ever-evolving brand and visual identity, leading a team of designers to produce creatives that consistently outperform and shape pop culture. You will be the steward of Cameo’s branding across the customer journey, from high-impact awareness touchpoints to lower funnel creatives. You’ll raise the bar for everything creative on Cameo.

In order to support a fast growing tech company like Cameo, your team will focus on telling our brand story while staying focused on driving growth. Your team will own projects from start to finish, and collaborate with a cross-functional team of marketers to directly impact the bottom line.
What you’ll be doing:

• Leading and inspiring a creative team of designers, copywriters, and project managers, as well as managing a creative agency on retainer, to produce creatives that consistently outperform and shape pop culture. 
• Setting the foundation for how we operationalize and scale Cameo’s creative infrastructure.
• Directing and stewarding our brand identity to ensure cohesiveness across all customer touchpoints, including internal communications.
• Providing visual creative and conceptual direction for digital, video, email, social media, advertising, merch, and more.
• Managing priorities, developing effective processes, and partnering with leaders across all levels to drive growth.
• Building strong relationships and communicating with leadership across the company.
• Continuing to evolve the story and creative voice for the Cameo brand

What you bring to the table:

• 8+ years of experience as a creative leader at top-tier companies, ideally in high-impact consumer products.
• Vast experience building and leading creative teams, including graphic designers, video editors, copywriters, project managers, and creative strategists.
• Multiple years of experience partnering with agencies to get world-class results, from designing RFPs, to sourcing partners and negotiating scope.
• A results oriented mindset: using data, research, and industry insights to inform decision making and measuring impact when it comes to creative.
• Passion for everything creative, from multi-million dollar TVC productions to same-day turnaround email banners and 40 character push notifications.
• A thought leader, not only when it comes to branding and creative.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that persuade and inspire others.
• An awe-inspiring portfolio of work across several scales and mediums, especially digital. Performance-focus a plus.
• Deep understanding of pop and entertainment culture.
